National Specialty Steel has 5 different CNC turning centers each with varying capacities. From small ø1/4” complex components with milled features to ø24” x 60” components, you can be assured we have the turning center to cover you needs.

National Specialty Steel has 4 Vertical Machining Centers and 3 Horizontal Machining Centers with may different configurations to meet even the most challenging components.
Our machines can handle 20”x40” or 30”x35” flat plates, weldments up to ø35”x32” tall, 4th axis rotary parts up tp ø16” x 30”, and everything in between. Be sure to check out all our listed CNC mills under the Vertical Milling and Horizontal Milling tabs on our equipment page.
National Specialty Steel has with climate controlled quality control room equipped with a Mitutoyo BRT504 CMM and various dedicated QC room metrology tools to ensure precision in every parts.
We understand that every industry and every customer has different demands for inspection. Whether you require a simple pass by QC after final inspection, a first article inspection before production begins, or 100% final inspection with MTR’s and In-process reports, National Specialty Steel has the inspection procedure for your needs and budget.
National Specialty Steel is fitted with state of the art Mastercam CAM software to keep pushing the boundaries of what our machines are able to produce. Investing is the latest software allows us to reimagine how we machine components with new efficient toolpaths which ultimately saves your bottom line.
We are also are able to offer our programming services to customers that have current Mastercam software to optimize their own machine shops and troubleshoot problems.
National Specialty Steel understands the challenges of in the North American manufacturing industry. Lacking competent workforce and increased demand for low cost, high quality components has lead to the automation of some of our machining centers. Implementing cobots, like our Universal Robots UR5, and our Haas EC400-PP with a 6 pallet pool station and automated probing system are a testament to how we continually seeking to grow our automation, giving our customer a solution this problem.
